At WorkSource Spokane, we serve more than 30,000 customers each year. WorkSource is a “one-stop-shop” for job seekers. Our comprehensive array of services includes, among others:

• Priority of Service to Veterans
• Personalized services to all job seekers
• Working with TANF customers, helping them move from public assistance to self-sufficiency
• Assisting ex-offenders overcome obstacles to employment
• Working with programs including Workforce Investment Act, Trade Adjustment Assistance, AARP, ARRA, community colleges, Labor & Industries, and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation
• Computer resource rooms with access to the internet, E-Learning, KeyTrain, WinWay Resume Deluxe, and Word
• Providing work experience opportunities through multiple programs including veterans, AARP, and Career Path Services
• Working with businesses in the community to provide beneficial services
• Hosting hiring, training, and "Meet the Employer" events

I am currently serving a second term with Americorps/Washington Service Corps at WorkSource Spokane. The entry I have submitted shows just a tiny part of what we do at WorkSource. Each AmeriCorps assigned to WorkSource has the same basic goal, that of helping our customers to succeed.
